The Economic Development & Tourism department welcomed twelve productions to the City of Brantford in 2021—a new record for the city, despite challenges as related to the ongoing pandemic. Throughout 2021, Economic Development and Tourism staff responded to 50 inquiries, many of which led to multiple site visits and location tours for interested productions.

February’s Featured Artist is Anca Gaston, a fine art photographer from Brantford. Anca has been passionate about photography since her teen years and enjoys spending as much time as possible photographing local wildlife and the night sky. She has won a number of photo contests, including being the Grand Prize winner of the 2016 Grand River Parks and Waterways Photo Contest with a photo of a bald eagle fishing, and the 2016 Winner (and 2017 runner-up) of the Canadian Wildlife Federation photo contest.
