A new way to relax, restore and heal came to the Brantford community in August 2019. Nu-U Float Studio and Health Bar, located at 200 Grand River Ave in Brantford, is a wellness & creative center that specializes in Floatation Therapy. While their full complement of services is currently reduced, with a few minor adjustments to appointment times and business hours, their float tanks were able to receive Public Health approval.

Tayshun Ally has been tinkering and fixing computers and technological issues since he was a kid. In his family and his neighbourhood growing up he called himself, “the local tech guy.” He took this love of all things technology and educated himself at Sheridan College in their Software Development and Engineering program, holding high marks in all of his classes. Did you know that in 1871, there were over 100 Black adults living in the Brantford area?[1] One of the earlier settlements of Freedom Seekers in Canada was called Bunnell’s Landing, which is located in present-day Cainsville.
