It was here in 1874 that Alexander Graham Bell first conceived the idea for the telephone and executed the world’s first long distance telephone call in 1876. Brantford is also the birthplace of Group of Seven founder, Lawren S. Harris.

You don't have to be a visitor to stop by the Tourism Information Desk. Located inside Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre at 254 North Park St., Brantford residents can pick up trail maps and brochures, purchase Brantford branded merchandise and speak with our knowledgeable tourism staff to discover all the great things to do in Brantford.

  • Brantford-Brant Business Resource Centre (BRC) offers free business advice with expert advisors who have hands-on business experience. The BRC also provides free business workshops so you can learn more about starting and growing your business, and meet other business owners.
