Trail Mix: Local Artists, Local Trails

Trail Mix, an initiative launched by Discover Brantford in 2022, invites visitors to explore a variety of local artists spanning different genres including country, folk, hip hop, soft rock, alternative, hard rock and reggae.

Trail users can look for the signs posted on the kilometre markers along the trail between Hardy Road and River Road, located behind notable tourism destinations in Brantford including: Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant, Waterworks Park, Earl Haig Family Fun Park and Brant’s Crossing. Each sign includes a unique QR code to be scanned using a smartphone to gain access to free curated playlists featuring local artists.

Trail Mix spans 10 kilometres, from the Hardy Road trail entrance to River Road/Dike Trail intersection. There are a total of ten playlists along the trail, each with three songs and approximately 10-12 minutes long, which allows the trail user to continue discovering local music during the duration of their hike.
