Calling all cyclists! The 2020 Cycling in Ontario / Le velo en Ontario guide is now available online at www.ontariobybike.ca/2020.
This 40-page annual guide, available in English and French, is full of ideas and information to inspire cyclists to explore more of Ontario by bike. The City of Brantford is featured in the new guide as a desirable cycling destination in Central Ontario.
In April of 2017, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport launched Tour by Bike – Ontario’s Cycling Tourism Plan. The plan aims to support and grow cycling tourism in Ontario. The Ministry’s Ontario by Bike™ Network offers a variety of information on cycling in Ontario, inspiring visitors and residents to explore more by bike. Find great places to cycle, links to useful cycling maps and plan your day trip or multi-day cycling itineraries with stops at certified bicycle friendly businesses enroute. The Ontario by Bike™ Network offers an online map with the location of and links to accommodations, restaurants, cafes, wineries, attractions, bike stores, tours and rental locations that all offer cyclists extra services and amenities, creating a positive experience and fueling your desire to get back on the saddle to explore more of Ontario by bike.
As a member of the Ontario by Bike™ Network, Tourism Brantford actively promotes our many outdoor experiences and has registered the Brantford Visitor & Tourism Centre as a bicycle friendly visitor information centre. Through our membership, bicycle friendly businesses in Brantford can also register with The Ontario by Bike™ Network at no cost.
Brantford is fortunate to have 70km of trails that connect us to surrounding communities. One of the routes featured in the 2020 guide is the 19km loop from a downtown park to Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant.
