The City of Brantford is recognized across Ontario for many outstanding achievements. Along with its rich history of innovators, scientists, artists, and community leaders, Brantford has also built a proud commitment to athletic excellence, sport, and community. Long before earning the title of the “Tournament Capital of Ontario” in 1998, Brantford was already home to many individuals and teams who dedicated themselves to sport and to strengthening their community.
As summer approaches, the City is preparing for the 42nd annual Brantford and Area Sports Hall of Recognition Induction Ceremony, an evening dedicated to celebrating the individuals who have helped shape Brantford’s sports culture and legacy. Since 1984, the Brantford and Area Sports Hall of Recognition has celebrated the accomplishments of more than 200 individuals and teams from Brantford, Brant County, Six Nations of the Grand River, and Mississauga’s of the Credit First Nation. These inductees have demonstrated dedication to their sport and made meaningful contributions to their communities.
The 2026 Class of Inductees and Honourees continues this proud tradition. It is with great excitement that the Sports Hall congratulates the following individuals:
The Class of 2026 has made significant contributions to both their sport and community, and will be recognized at the annual Sports Hall Induction Ceremony, as well as featured in the Brantford and Area Sports Hall of Recognition located inside the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre.
