Brantford Businesses Come and Join the Ontario by Bike Network

Ontario by Bike (OBB) Network is a not-for-profit initiative to promote cyclist friendly businesses in the province.

Brantford is home to over 70km of natural trails and 18km of bike lanes, making Brantford a premier destination for cyclists. Tourism Brantford would like to see our local businesses help to develop our area as a cyclist friendly community.

Tourism Brantford is calling local businesses to register. The Network is open to accommodations, food services, attractions, cycling related business and organizations interested in cycle tourism. It is free to register; you will receive a welcome package with various resources for your business, which includes a window decal that will need to be shown for the public. You will also have a listing on the OBB website to allow cyclists to plan out their trip.

The following is some basic criteria for Cycling Friendly Businesses:

1.  Secure bicycle storage
2.  If possible, have a bicycle repair toolkit on site – the staff at Tourism Brantford can help source these for you at minimal to no cost.
3.  If your establishment already serves food and beverages, you’ll need to make sure you have healthy, local options available for your two-wheeled arrivals.
4.  Educate your staff on the Ontario by Bike program and make sure they are able to provide information about local options for accommodations, dining and entertainment to visiting tourists, as needed.
