Brantford’s First Micro-Distillery Opens

While the pandemic is still a part of our reality, a new local micro-distillery has opened that will make it easier to ‘GIN’ and bear it! Welcome Mann’s Botanical Spirits, Brantford’s first of its kind, located at 581 West St, featuring a modern and inclusive atmosphere and a vision to bring unique and desired spirits to the community.

Not wanting to define their distillery by one type of spirit, Mann’s Botanical Spirits is excited to have a vast inventory, exploring distinct tastes through blending experiments using all parts of a plant – the roots, the leaves, the stems, the seeds, the flowers and the fruits.

Their inaugural spirits consist of two varieties of gin, one vodka, aromatic bitters and orange bitters. Gin provides the most variety, as there are endless possibilities of smells and tastes, some prominent and many more providing subtle notes. White Tea Gin

Their signature product, White Tea Gin is truly special and developed from a knowledge and passion of tea blending and trials with botanicals from different teas. The result is a balanced and delicate blend gin with herbal, woody, citrus and fruity notes.                  

Cocktail Classes, Event Space and More

The two-story space includes a modern, bright tasting room, retail space, and a seasonal outdoor patio. Once provincial restrictions are loosened, cocktail classes, group tastings, and competitions can be enjoyed on the mezzanine, which also can be rented as an event space for corporate and private gatherings. Whether mingling on the main level, relaxing in the upper lounge or enjoying hands on learning experiences, you will have a clear view overlooking the production area with an intricate geography including a 1,1000 Litre Pot Still, 1,100 Litre Mash Tun, two 1,300 Litre fermentation tanks and multiple mixing and steeping tanks.
