After a year and a half of no concerts or events, the Brantford Symphony Orchestra (BSO) is more than pleased to announce their upcoming presentation of the appropriately named “Happy Days are Here Again” on October 30, 2021 at 7:30 p.m.
Unwind with the BSO in physically-distanced seating at the beautiful Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts. This light and happy program will be sure to put a smile on your face (even if it’s underneath a mask!) There will be lots of variety on the show with “Fascinating Rhythm,” “The Blue Danube,” a little Beethoven, the “Can Can” from Orpheus in the Underworld, “La Cumparsita,” a touch of Haydn, the “Radetzky” March, “Happy Days are Here Again” (of course) and much, much more!
The musicians of the fabulous Brantford Symphony are eager to perform and tickets are now available for this limited seating performance. This year, there are two ticket options to either attend in-person ($40) or virtually ($15). The performance will be live-streamed from the Sanderson Centre for those that feel more comfortable attending from the comfort of their own living rooms.
Visit the Sanderson Centre website to purchase tickets or contact the BSO at administrator@brantfordsymphony.ca for more information.
The formally designated Brantford Symphony Orchestra was established in 1919 under the direction of Dr. F. C. Thomas. As an orchestra of approximately 70 professional musicians of the highest caliber, the BSO thrives under the expert tutelage of musical director and conductor Philip Sarabura. Sarabura, alongside the board of directors of the Brantford Symphony Orchestra, invites the people of Brantford and surrounding area to come out and enjoy the music at one of their many annual events.
