Brantford is home to the Hub of Ontario Trails, which links three major branches of the Trans Canada Trail at Brant’s Crossing in downtown Brantford. With over 70km of trails to hike, fat bike, or snowshoe, there is so much to explore during the winter months in beautiful Brantford. Please note that trails are not maintained in the winter months and must be used at your own risk.
Our trail system connects Brantford to other nearby cities, including Port Dover, Hamilton, Paris, and beyond. The Trans Canada Trail arms joining Brantford to Hamilton and Port Dover are also part of what is now known as “Brock’s Route.” This present trail aligns with the route that Major General Isaac Brock took between Hamilton and Port Dover through Brantford during the War of 1812.
