Have you seen the new wayfinding signs that are going up at major intersections throughout the City? If you’ve squinted at one driving by, the good news is they’re not for motorists. These new signs have been designed and posted specifically to help pedestrians and cyclists safely navigate through the city major transportation routes and find popular destinations with ease. Some of the destinations included on these signs are City-owned facilities, community centers, parks, schools, the mall and Brantford General Hospital.
Currently these blue and green signs are posted at seven core intersections, which fall along active transportation corridors. Check out these signs to find out the distance in kilometres to your desired destination to determine how long the trip will take you or how far you have left to go.
To learn more about these signs visit the Wayfinding Signs page on the City of Brantford website.
