Have a splashing good time in Brantford’s pools!

We are having a hot summer in Brantford, which means we all need a little more help keeping cool. The reopening of many pools in Brantford were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the City’s response to try to slow the spread of infection. We are now pleased to share that the 65m and 25m pools at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre have now reopened, with enhanced safety measures.

The 65m and 25m pools will be open Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for length swimming, water walking and lane exercising only. Swim times will begin at 7:00 a.m. in 45-minute increments with 30 minutes in between for cleaning and disinfecting. Time slot availability will open up weekly each Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. for the following week (Monday to Sunday). The warm water and hydrotherapy pools and sauna will remain closed at this time. Drop-in's will only be accepted if swim times are not filled.

Pre-booking online is highly recommended to reduce wait times, however you can also email Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre or call them at 519-756-9900 to book. Please leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

Safety Measures

• Please shower before coming to the pool and arrive only 5 to 10 minutes before your designated time in wearing your swim attire. 
• Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell or experience any symptoms of COVID-19.
• We strongly encourage you to please wear a mask when possible.
• Physical distancing of 6 feet/2 meters will be required at all times.
• You will be asked pre-screening questions and be required to use the provided hand sanitizer prior to entry.
• Water fountains will be available for water bottle refills only.
• Designated washrooms will be made available and customers will be asked to change and shower at home after their swim if possible.
• Regular swim admission fees will apply. If you currently have a pass on hold, please let us know and we can reactivate it.  In addition, facility passes can be used for pool admission.
• We will be encouraging cashless transactions whenever possible.
• Pool lockers will not be available for use at this time.
