The City of Brantford is known across Ontario for many amazing things. Brantford has given the world scientists, inventors, artists, and actors, but the city has also demonstrated a strong commitment to athletic excellence, sport, and community. Even before it was dubbed the “Tournament Capital of Ontario” in 1998, Brantford boasted a great lineage of athletic excellence comprised of countless individuals who have dedicated their life to their chosen sport and to their community.
As the summer approaches, the City is beginning to prepare for the 41st annual Brantford and Area Sports Hall of Recognition Induction Ceremony; a night filled with pride and gratitude for the individuals who have helped to shape Brantford’s sport culture and legacy. Since 1984, the Brantford and Area Sports Hall of Recognition has recognized the achievements of over 200 individuals and teams from Brantford, Brant County, Six Nations of the Grand River, and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nations. These individuals have exhibited commitment to their field and have made exemplary contributions to the community.
The 2025 Class of Inductees and Honourees are no exception. It is with great pride that the Sports Hall extends sincere congratulations to the following individuals:
