Spool: Gourmet Poutine and Mac 'n Cheese

In early 2020, the owners of the Rope Factory launched Spool, a popup take-out and delivery restaurant. This endeavor was supposed to be a 12 week temporary project and now more than two years later, Spool has moved into its own dedicated space right across from the Rope Factory in the Cordage Heritage District (111 Sherwood Dr.) Spool offers gourmet poutine and mac ’n cheese that you can’t get anywhere else.

Spool uses fresh, local ingredients in all their dishes and is proud to support many local businesses including Strode’s BBQ and Deli, Wingmaster, Little Brown Cow, The Olive Oil Co. and Lidz Cinabunz.

Spool After Dark serves up the most creative deep fried late night eats in Brantford every Friday and Saturday night from 8:00pm to midnight.  Favourite late night snacks include Deep Fried Mars Bars, Deep Fried Kit Kat Fries, Deep Fried Mega Stuffed Oreos and Deep Fried Chunk Cookies.  If you are craving late night snacks, you can’t go wrong with Spool After Dark!

The Baconator Poutine – Belgium style fries that are topped with ground beef, shredded cheese, gravy, bacon, ketchup and mayo.

Loaded Baked Potato Poutine – Belgian style fries are topped with in-house rich meat gravy, extra Strode’s bacon and cheddar shredded cheese, topped with a dollup of sour cream and chives.

Truffle Lobster Mac ‘n Cheese – Macaroni noodles are tossed in house-made cheese sauce and topped with a four cheese blend, lobster meat and Black Truffle oil from The Olive Oil Co. with a crispy Panko topping.

Deep Fried Cheese Curds – Little Brown Cow cheese curds are dipped in a secret in-house batter and deep fried to golden perfection.
