Summer Cycling with Heron Head Bikes

Email icon Back to Search
Family riding bikes

Cycling is a social distancing-friendly, low-cost and eco-friendly activity that can be enjoyed either solo or in groups. Brantford is home to over 70kms of nature trails and a growing infrastructure of bike lanes for your recreational and transportation needs. Heron Head Bikes is a new one-stop shop in Brantford that services, sells and rents bikes. Try one of their brand new cycling experiences and discover the joys of cycling for adventure, transportation and exercise.

Brantford’s Slow Roll

An ideal tour for new residents and visitors of all ages, Brantford’s Slow Roll explores a different neighborhood in Brantford and surrounding area each week. These easy rides happen Tuesday nights starting a 7pm. Visit www.heronheads.com for meeting locations and sign up prior to the ride and your name will be entered in the annual draw for an e-bike (sponsored by www.tkliquidation.com). Bring your bike (or check for availability to rent a bike) and helmet.

Weekly Rock Hunt

The Weekly Rock Hunt is a cycling scavenger hunt along the Gordon Glaves Grand River Loop, which is part of the over 70kms of trails in Brantford. While enjoying the Grand River Loop trail, watch for Heron Head Bikes painted rocks. If you find one, return it to the store, located at 366 Grand River Ave Unit 2 (exit the trails near Brantford Rotary Bike Park), for a sweet treat! This event is free to attend and dates are posted online in advance.

Follow Heron Head Bikes on Facebook for updates and future events, including guided group cycling tours in Brantford.
