Taal is Back and Better than Ever

We’ve been driving by the construction site at Taal Fine Indian Cuisine for months now, eagerly awaiting the grand opening of their brand new space. One of Brantford’s most beloved Indian restaurants, and well known for its food that is served at the Brantford International Villages Festival’s India Village, the flavours of Taal have been missed.

One thing we love so much about Indian food is its ability to adapt to many dietary preferences and requirements – if you’re vegetarian or gluten free, Taal’s menu will be an absolute delight for you! Start your meal of with Vegetable Pakora (mixed vegetable fritters), enjoy some Channa Masala (chickpeas simmered with spices), and Aloo Gobi Mattar (cauliflower, peas and potatoes in curry sauce). Don’t forget to finish off your meal with a dessert, like their Gajar ka Halwa, a sweet carrot pudding served warm.

If you’re more of a meat eater, we love their Keema Samosa (savoury Indian pasties served with ground chicken and lots of spices), Chicken Tikka Masala (chicken marinated in Punjabi spices, garlic, ginger, cumin, green peppers and onions, simmered in a homemade yogurt sauce) or their Tandoori Mixed Platter, piled high with a variety of fish and chicken options.

Looking for a kick of spice? Try their chicken, lamb, prawn, goat or beef vindaloo, simmered in a tangy curry with rare spices and potatoes.

If you’re just venturing into trying out Indian food, it’s always a great option to try out their chef specialties or their set meals for 2-6 people. You get many dishes to try for a great value - $17 per person!

Taal is located at 578 Colborne Street East, Brantford and offers dine-in, takeout and delivery options. At time of publication, Taal's buffet service is not currently available.

For more information, visit Taal’s website or Facebook for more information.
