A Taste of Italy in Brantford: Gran Sasso

Family owned and operated by Dan and Patty Mercante, you can’t go wrong with these fine Italian eats located at 98 Paris Road!

Gran Sasso is a very beautiful mountain in the region of Abruzzo, Italy. In those mountains lies a quiet little town called Castelli. About 70 years ago, the Mercante family immigrated from Castelli, Italy to Brantford, Ontario.

Having themselves visited those mountains on a few trips and having fallen in love with them, they uniquely decided on that name for their restaurant.

The passion for great food and the love of family is brought together in their menu where all our dishes have been named after family members and surrounding area towns, bringing a true Italian feel.

Open Wednesday through Sunday, their menu includes an extensive list of high end Italian cuisine including gourmet pastas, pizzas, salads, meat dishes, and delicious desserts. Holy cannoli!
