We invite you to visit the Brantford home where Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone on July 26, 1874. Here you'll see how the Bell family lived and worked. You will learn about how Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone and see how the telephone has changed since then. The museum is currently open Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
There are a variety of activities and special events to enjoy year-round including; tours, The Exchange Café, museum store, educational trips, day camps, birthday parties, drop-in activities, rentals and more. We hope to see you soon.
The Café will be open from May 3 to October 1, 2022, 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m., serving delicious home baking and hot and cold beverages.
Join the Bell Homestead on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. for the Coffee House at The Café event providing an evening of smooth 60’s music by Pleasant Ridge and good eats on The Exchange Café porch. Test your 60’s TV trivia knowledge for a chance to win prizes. Snacks and refreshments are included with ticket purchases which cost $25.00 per person by calling 519-756-6220. This event will be moved to Bell’s Carriage House in the event of poor weather.
