Your guide to Brantford's Santa Claus Parade

Email icon Back to Search
Santa Claus Parade Float

Celebrate the 48th annual Freedom House Brantford Santa Claus Parade presented by GrandBridge Energy on Saturday, November 30, 2024. If you’re planning on attending this year's Santa Claus Parade, here are a few key things to keep in mind.

Santa Claus Parade

The parade will make its way downtown on Dalhousie Street at 6 p.m. starting at Stanley Street and ending at Harmony Square where the annual Parade After Party presented by Brant Animal Aid Foundation will begin. The public is encouraged to line the streets early to save a spot for optimal viewing. This year’s parade theme is the 150th anniversary of the invention of the telephone. During the parade, the Brantford Food Bank will be accepting non-perishable food donations (keep an eye out for the Frontier Building Group truck!). Some of their most-needed items include: canned fruit and vegetables, canned meats, peanut butter, dry pasta and sauce, canned soups, beans and stews, cereal and oatmeal, and baby formula. For more information about the Santa Claus Parade, visit www.freedomhouse.ca/SantaClausParade.

Parade After Party

Join us for the Parade After Party presented by Brant Animal Aid Foundation on Saturday, November 30, 2024 after the Santa Claus Parade. Harmony Squirrel will kick-off the holiday season with the tree lighting ceremony in the square. Families of all ages will enjoy the night with several free holiday activities.

  • Free hot chocolate, provided by Tim Hortons, while supplies last
  • Free carnival treats, while supplies last
  • Special live musical performance from your favourite duo, the Snow Sisters! Followed by character Meet and Greet
  • Doug "The Great" Hunt who won the Stilt Walker Guinness Book World Record in Brantford in 2001 and 2023
  • Free photo with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus
  • Free face painting

Downtown road closures will be in effect for the community to enjoy the Santa Claus Parade. Please check for road closures before heading downtown.

Where to park

Parking is free in the municipal parking garage located at 59 Icomm Drive.
