NBA Entertainer

Quincy Mack (aka Q-MACK) is a professional basketball freestyler, NBA entertainer, public speaker and youth educator from Brantford.

Q-MACK began working for the NBA in 2000 as a touring entertainer and live event host and was signed by Nike in 2001 as a basketball freestyler and personality. He has since been hired by over 4000 schools to energize their students, promoting messages about inclusivity, creativity and anti-bullying.

We heard you got hired as a permanent host at every NBA All-Star weekend going forward – congrats! What inspired you to work with the NBA?

It was my time playing for the Brantford Briers and CYO Minor Basketball programs that sparked my interest to take it to the next level. That's where I started to work on my basketball tricks which have allowed me to perform with celebs like Steph Curry, LeBron James, Snoop Dogg, and Michael B Jordan to name a few.

What are your favourite things to do in Brantford?

I love to visit the local golf courses including Walter Gretzky Municipal Golf Course and The Brantford Golf and Country Club when I'm lucky enough to get the invite.

Where are your favourite places to eat in Brantford?

My favorite places to eat in Brantford include Stromboli's Pizza on King George Road for their famous "walk in special" and of course you can't go wrong with Dairee Delite if you're looking for a tasty dessert.

Where do you like to take friends when they’re visiting from out of town?

I always like to show them around The Gretzky Centre and The Brantford Sports Hall of Recognition. Then I usually take them down to the Civic Centre to show them where I watched Hulk Hogan and MachoMan Randy Savage back in the day...ooooooh yeah, brother!
