Join us for Culture Days on the Trails on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the SC Johnson Trail, starting at the Hardy Road parking lot and ending at Lafayette Avenue. Twelve artists comprised of painters, musicians and dancers will be performing at this year's event.

Event Details
Attendees are invited to walk along a 2.6 km stretch of the SC Johnson Trail between the Hardy Road parking lot and Lafayette Avenue and attend twelve free mini-concerts and performances. Find additional event details below.
Parking |
Parking will be available at the parking lot on Hardy Rd. and at the lower parking lot of Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant. On-street parking is also available on Parkside Drive, between Dufferin Avenue and Preston Boulevard. View the online map. Nearby residents are encouraged to bike or walk to the event. |

Alicia-Lynn is a second generation Cree Artist from Lac La Ronge, Saskatchewan who now resides in Brantford. Alicia-Lynn will be live painting. |
Calm Canopy - Musician |
Calm Canopy is the solo project of Paris, Ontario based producer and recording artist Mike Papaloni. He writes in a style that he calls "Optimist-core indie rock", generally optimistic sounding, upbeat pop/rock with some jazz influences that bleed out into the guitar work. His newest album "Optimist Park" is a collection of 9 songs that explore how we deal with our past, love, anxiety attacks, and questioning the status-quo. It was recorded, produced and mixed entirely from Mike's home studio in Paris, ON. |
Chris Strei - Musician |
Chris Strei is a Brantford-born and raised singer/songwriter with an original style that's been compared to Tragically Hip, Chris Stapleton, and Tom Petty, with lyrics that sing about perseverance until the darkness becomes light. Chris is a full-time musician performing in various restaurants and festivals in Southern Ontario with a list of covers that tastefully compliment his list of originals. |
David A. Moses - Musician |
Singer, songwriter, TV/radio broadcaster, and Emcee David A. Moses was most recently the host of Compelling Conversations on CKRZ 100.3FM and the host of ELMNT FM's flagship daily talk show program “Moment of Truth”(2018-2022). David is of Lenape (Delaware) Turtle Clan from Six Nations and also shares a Welsh heritage. In 2003, David recorded a demo song called “The Monkey Dog” based on a true Six Nations’ story, it was an instant hit and received write ups in the local papers plus a full page of the entertainment section of the Brantford Expositor. David released a 5 song EP in 2022 and in 2023 the single "Reclamation Blues" that made it to #17 on the Indigenous Music Countdown. Visit www.davidamoses.ca |
James Wilson - Musician |
James N. Wilson is a Mohawk and French-Canadian Singer-Songwriter Musician from Six Nations of The Grand River. He has performed his music all around North America sharing the stage with many artists such as K-OS, Derek Miller, Logan Staats, DJ Shub, and many more. His original music has been compared to artists such as Dave Matthews, Shawn Mendes, and Coldplay. In December 2019, his song “City Lights” hit #1 on the IMC Indigenous Music Countdown. He released his second album "Alive" in 2024 which is available now on all streaming platforms. |

Patti Giroux - Painter |
Patti Giroux, an acrylic artist on canvas, draws inspiration from simple lines, easy colors, nature, and architecture. Exploring new series in her unique style, she has pioneered Pet Pop Art, crafting custom pieces from pet photos. With a background in Art Administration and Art Conservation, Patti is renowned for her ability to recreate textures and designs. Her extensive collection of photos, ranging from cemeteries to flowers and buildings, serves as references for her current art. A fun fact about Patti: she possesses the rare talent of painting with both her left and right hands simultaneously. |

Rising Hedons - Musicians |

Sumeda Mongia - Dancer |
Sumedha is an Indo-Canadian dance artist. She started dancing at the age of 5, though formal training in Indian classical dance (Odissi) started later, she continued her learning at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Delhi under Guru Madhavi Mudgal. She has also enjoyed learning and performing different dance styles including semi-classical, folk, Indian contemporary, creative, bollywood etc. Sumedha has always been passionate about building communities through dance. Since moving to Canada, she has collaborated with a few prominent artists in Canada and has performed at prestigious events. |
