Alexandra Park Cannon

The cannon in Alexandra Park is of Russian origin and was captured by the British during the Crimean War (1853-1856) at the siege of Sevastopal. It was donated to the City of Brantford by the British, circa 1860. The cannon has several markings including a two-headed eagle, which was part of the former Imperial Coat of Arms.
