This memorial pays tribute to the men and women who made the great sacrifice during World War 1. The members of the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire, were the sole contributors to the Cenotaph. The monument contains the same inscription as the King George V medals which were sent to wives and mothers of those who fell during World War 1 between 1914-1918.
